Welcome to the

Remember 9-11 Ride, Inc.

website!

The 2008 ride was postponed from Saturday, September 6, and rescheduled for Saturday, October 4, 2008!

The arrival time has been pushed back to start at 5:45 AM.  Please be at 52 South Street in Hopkinton no later than 6:15 AM.  We plan to leave by 6:45 AM.  (Port-a-potties are available at 52 South Street.  There are two gas stations and a Dunkin Donuts at x21A for your convenience)

If you want to come and you have not pre-registered you can bring a toy worth at least $10.00 and pay the pre-registration fee of $20.00 per rider and $10.00 per passenger.  The toys will be donated to the Marine Corps' Toys for Tots program! You may also pay the $30.00 regular registration fee plus $10.00 per passenger.

The Pre-Registration packets were mailed the week of August 25th. If you have not pre-registered, download the registration form and bring it with you to the ride. It will make the registration process move faster. The downloadable form is automated so you can fill in the blanks and print from your computer. Just sign it and remember to bring it with you.

The start of the ride will be at 52 South Street in Hopkinton. Take I-495 to exit 21B.  Bear right on the ramp and take a left onto South Street.  The site will be about 1/4 mile on your right.  We are asking all riders not to visit the site prior to October 4th, the ride day. The lot owner has been kind enough to allow us to use this area, don't have them change their minds.

The 2007 ride took place on Saturday, September 8th and we had another safe and successful ride!

Thanks to all of the volunteers who made the ride such a success this year at registration, parking and on the road!

Thanks also to the Glenville Volunteer Fire Department and the people of Greenwich, CT, for hosting a ride stop and starting place!

Thanks to all the Motor Officers, the CT State Police and the NYPD for their help with our safety escort!

If you took pictures or have video we would appreciate copies!  Please mail them to:

God Bless you!

God Bless America!

On September 11, 2001, a terrible tragedy was perpetrated on the United States. Over 3,000 innocent people were murdered. Numerous firefighters, police officers and other emergency personnel gave their lives in an effort to save others!

On October 6, 2002, a handful of friends planned to get together to honor those who died with a ride from Boston, MA, through Hartford, CT, to Ground Zero in New York City. The "handful" of friends ended up being over 200 bikes!

This great tribute to the innocent victims of 9-11-01 was surpassed by the overwhelming turnout for the second annual Remember 9-11 Ride that was held on September 21, 2003! 2046 people registered and rode from Hopkinton, MA, and Wallingford and Greenwich, CT, to Ground Zero and the Hell's Kitchen Firehouse in New York City!
The First Remember 9-11 Ride was held on Sunday, October 6, 2002. The second ride was held on Sunday, September 21, 2003, The good Lord Blessed us with beautiful days for both rides and the people of New York were pleased for our support! Motorcyclists from as far away as Toronto and New Brunswick, Canada joined riders from New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont.

The third annual Remember 9-11 Ride took place on Sunday, September 19, 2004. The ride staged in Hopkinton, MA, and at the Connecticut 9-11 Memorial site at Sherwood Isle State Park. Over three hundred riders participated and enjoyed another spectacular day, ending up at Coney Island in NYC.

The fourth annual ride was held on Saturday, September 10, 2005. Once again we had a great day for the ride. Our CT SP motor escort did a great job getting us safely through CT and our NYPD escort did a stellar job getting us through the City. We took time to reflect at Ground Zero...it's hard to believe it will soon be five years ago that war was declared on US!
